There was completed 27th Men and 18th Women World Championship among master weightlifters in Limassol city of Southen Cyprus with the participating of 42 countries and over 450 participants.

In this competetion we were represented by four master weightlifter of our National Team.
Among this, Akif Aliyev in 56kg weight category and 50-54 age group coping with (75kg+90kg) 165kg, took the I place, Aftandil Humbatov in 69kg weight category and 35-39 age group (100kg+127kg) lifting 227kg, took the II place, Aghakarim Karimov in +105kg weight category and 35-39 age group coping with (135kg+160kg) 295kg, took the III place, Natig Aghayev in 105kg weight category and 45-49 age group lifting (100kg+115kg) 225kg was honoured to the VII place.

We would like to inform you that the 22th Men and 20th Women European Championship will be hosted in Lankaran on 02-09 June.
